How to earn the Certified Watershape Real Estate Inspector (CWRI)
The CWRI proves your proficiency in inspecting pools and other watershapes as part of real estate transactions.
Why the CWRI matters
Most home inspection services for real estate transactions do not inspect residential swimming pools. For that, a local pool company is often consulted. While pool pros know what they are looking at, they are rarely trained in real estate inspection rules, codes, and standards.
This certification bridges that gap, providing students with the tools and knowledge necessary to conduct detailed pool inspections that are viable for real estate transactions. Simply writing a document with some photos is not sufficient. There are legal requirements involved, and nobody knows what they don't know.
How to earn the CWRI Certification
The CWRI, like other WU Trade Specialist Certifications is a two-step process:
- Take C2111: Essential Pool Construction, and pass the CWF exam to earn your CWF certification.
- Take B2121: Essential Pool Inspections, and pass the CWRI exam to earn your CWRI.
Note, you can take B2121 and pass the CWRI exam prior to taking C2111 and passing the CWF exam. But you will not earn either certification until you earn your CWF. The CWF is a prerequisite for the CWRI and all other trade certifications.
Once you take C2111 and pass the CWF exam, our system will recognize this, and automatically email you your CWF and CWRI badges, as well as having them available for download on your student dashboard.
